- ABOUTOur Committment History Our founder, and President, is a highly motivated business woman with a long history of success. She started her journey in her home state of NC. She there founded and operated both a training company and computer technology business while raising her family. She developed several other successful business ventures before turning her attention to transportation. Our company is built on the principles of commitment to the flatbed industry… Recognizing that she could make a difference in the industry by utilizing her technological know how, she helped found a now prominent, web based, TMS provider. Her love of the industry was born out of the kindness that she was shown by 3 drivers on September 11, 2001. While working on a project at a company in the Midwest she watched in horror, like so many Americans, as we were attacked. Her thoughts turned to getting home to her family as quickly as possible. On that day, three truck drivers told her that they would get her home safely and escorted her all the way back to her home in Georgia. She has never forgotten that kindness and decided that she needed to put herself in a position that would allow her to help return that kindness. She then decided to take on a job with one of the nation’s largest building materials manufacturers, managing transportation. There she was successful in developing a powerful flatbed carrier network, managing to help several small companies grow while providing her employer with an outstanding service record. Her remarkable journey continues with CWD Flatbed Transportation. Joining in this adventure are her partners who have a love for the flatbed industry and shares with her mutual respect for the drivers that support our country.
